Job Description

Environmental Company with a presence in Texas is searching for a Systems Support Specialist to work remotely.  This candidate will need to have a background in Level 2-3 technical support.  Candidate will be responsible for researching, designing, implementing and supporting the network systems for the company. 

About:

This IT Department is 100% a Microsoft environment and cloud based.  The team is a tight knit team and they would like to add a few new team members.  The IT team will train the new hire on their systems.  They want to find someone who wants a long-term growth opportunity.

Travel:

Candidate must be available to travel 10% to different company sites when required.

Job Requirements

Certifications:

  • A+ Certification helpful.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience in O365.
  • Experience with MS Exchange, MS Office Suite, and Virus Protection.
  • Experience with Citrix, Active Directory, and Windows 2003/2008 Server a plus.
  • Experience with Support Ticketing systems.
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN/Ethernet/Fast Ethernet and Gigabit topologies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Windows Operating Systems.
  • Cloud experience working with Azure is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Interface with suppliers as needed
    • Manage quotes & purchasing process for IT Department
    • Process, code, approvals and submit invoices for IT Department
    • Software\License\Warranty renewals IT Department
  • Interface with employees at all levels within the company as needed.
  • Support of core applications used by the company.
  • Provides a variety of hardware / software technical support services as needed.
  • Troubleshooting and hardware repair for desktop and laptop PC’s as needed.
  • Support technical staff and all levels of users include remote users.
  • Adheres to all security and emergency procedures.
  • Monitor and support network infrastructure.
  • Maintain Active Directory.
  • Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Document IT procedures and policies.
  • Manage cell phone and air card inventory
  • Maintain/manage IT Assets level inventory software used by the company.
  • Manage audio \ web conference subscriptions
