Global Company is offering an exciting opportunity for a Project & Change Manager, Commodities and Global Markets for their Houston, Texas Downtown location.  The Project & Change Manager will utilize their Project & Change delivery experience in a newly created role, within the company’s Commodities & Global Markets Finance Group. This is a unique opportunity for someone to leverage their experience or interest in commodities or Financial Markets to deliver regulatory and transformation initiatives across the Group.

The Project & Change Manager will join the company’s Central Data team, whom is responsible for data management and delivery of the Group-wide project portfolio uplift any systems. As a Global Change champion, this role will partner with their Operational Risk, Technology and other support functions to drive cross divisional change across the company gaining exposure to all parts of their global, multi-faceted business.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities:

As a “hands-on” projects and change professional, this role will be focused on the delivery of the company wide initiatives and change management activities. Day to day the Project & Change Manager will be responsible for:

  • Planning, organizing and leading strategic projects to uplift deal capture system across the company and change initiatives related to it
  • Driving the accomplishment of all objectives and goals while maintaining the quality of project deliverables within the scheduled time frame
  • Preparation and presentation of governance materials (i.e. Steering Committees, Working Groups)
  • Maintain an open dialogue with global stakeholders with regular reporting of progress to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Identifying, communicating, and managing both dependencies and risks to delivery
  • Enable the communication and feeding in the business requirements to technology group

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, the Project & Change Manager will bring prior experience managing projects and change initiatives, ideally within Financial Markets or commodities industry.  The Project & Change Manager will have a strong focus on delivery along with a willingness and flexibility to adapt your management style to get the job done.

In addition, the Project & Change Manager will have strong stakeholder engagement skills with an ability to build strong, effective relationships and an ability to drive change and influence at all levels. Other skills and experience may include:

  • Have a flexible, proactive, solution-oriented approach and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to demonstrate high levels of drive, innovation, attention to detail and a strong resilience and tenacity
  • Have the ability coordinate multiple assignments, work independently and be able to manage both technical and process change
  • Exposure to financial or commodity trading businesses and products or experience managing technology change initiatives is an advantage
