Job Description
ProFound Staffing is working with an Insurance Company with an office in League City, Texas searching for Java Full Stack Web Developer to work on their Application team responsible for building easy to use, robust enterprise products that improve efficiency, security and contribute to their application development for their company.
Work Schedule:
- Onsite at the League City, Texas office.
Note:
- Candidate must have the proof of the right to work in the United States.

Ideal Candidate:
- Senior level Java Full Stack Developer with a strong focus on the frontend design.
- Experienced in UI/UX design.
- Single Page Applications experience in JavaScript, Typescript, Angular and/or React.
- DevOps experience building CI/CD pipelines, Docker and Kubernetes.
- Database skills in DB2 and SQL Server.
- Software security.
- Experienced in WebSphere Application Server.
- Strong work tenure with previous employers.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, CIS, MIS or equivalent experience - preferred
Technical Expertise:
- 10+ years overall “professional” experience.
- 5+ years of proven experience in architecting, designing, and building highly scalable interactive web applications and distributed software solution.
- Proficiency in UX (user experience) and UI (user interface) design principles, and techniques.
- Expertise with core web development fundamentals such as DOM, XHR, etc.
- Strong background with Object oriented programming/analysis/design, Java, HTML5, CSS3, NodeJS, RESTFul Services and JavaScript/Typescript.
- Expertise with modern frameworks such as Angular or React.
- Experience with delivering software using agile development practices and tools.
- Expertise with caching techniques such as IBMs DynaCache, Redux.
- Experience building CI/CD Pipelines, Docker and Kubernetes.
- Preform Code reviews, review and improve processes.
- Experience with GIT and TFS.
- Experience writing and maintaining unit test cases.
- Experience with DB2 and SQL Server databases; ability to verify and create complex views, queries and stored procedures.
- Experience in safeguarding against common threats such as XSS, JS Injection, SQL Injection, Token/Session exploitation.
Preference:
- Experience Administrating WebSphere Application Server and Liberty Profile Application Server.
Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize, design, present, and execute a forward-thinking creative digital design and web experiences, including websites, microsites, landing pages, and more.
- Build robust applications, removing the complexity and making them extremely easy to use.
- Apply design patterns in building responsive and intuitive user interface.
- Build and maintain re-usable UI style guides, Server side components to drive consistency across products.
- Drive performance tuning, usability improvements, and best security practices.
- Translate user insights into meaningful recommendations for the overall design strategy and interaction.
- Actively contribute to the adoption of frameworks, standards, and new technologies.
- Guide and mentor lesser experienced teammates.
